The Makeup And Beauty Connect Series

Hi guys,

As you may know last week was the Nokia Social media network week Here In Lagos,Nigeria and there was a series of event from Monday to Saturday and there was a programs that was been hosted everyday.

Anyho, Sunday was "The Makeup and Beauty Connect Series"which was a free admission for all Beauty and Makeup Bloggers and it was pretty much a recap of what was discussed of the beauty unplugged which was hosted on Friday at the Social Media Network Week  the event was on the mainland which was very accessible for everybody; so as expected the turn out was phenomenal and I met a lot of beauty Bloggers 

 I was late for the event as per African time but that was because I had a 60^th birthday party to attend to in Agege before heading down to Ikeja and trust me that Movement wasn't but hey "its better late than never"

On arriving the event had ended but Yemisi (beauty and makeup blogger) gave me a recap of what was discussed which was how to maximize the use of social media to improve and Enhance your Brand.

I think the event was sponsored by “Sleek Makeup” but I think the Nigeria brand is called SLEEK STUDIO and trust me I have never ever received so much Makeup products before but I will be reviewing them to give my honest feedback and probably do a tutorials on my Youtube with the Products. I Already started using the Facial products last night!!!

I had so much fun interacting and getting to know More Nigerian beauty bloggers whilst forming an online community.

Quick Update....NEW BEGINNING!!!

I know i have been M.I.A for over a month and that was because I was in the process of Moving Locations!!!

That been said I am Currently Living In Nigeria( My birth Place) which is in Africa,I am about to start my NYSC ( National Youth Service Corps) Programme which last for a year!!!I have been Verified already and I just have to wait patiently to find out what state I would be posted to which i Hope would be Lagos State; That been said I would do make a video very soon about this Service for all Nigerian Foreign Students and What is requested for this programme is you are Interested in doing it of course!!!

Orientation camp commences Next month and I cannot wait for the camp,Apparently from what I heard its like been in a soldier's training camp,We were uniforms,get to be trained by various Soldier(time to get in shape) and we have an early morning start at 4.30 A.M!!!!Its crazy I know right but I cant wait to embark on this Journey!!!

As for the Weather its pretty OK,Some days its not too hot and some days like today its completely Hot with temperatures as high as 31 degrees....My makeup has been behaving,I have been wearing makeup everyday since I got here and it hasn't been dripping or smudged I guess its all about using a good foundation primer and I actually mix my primer with my foundation before application.

I have been having a swell time and I have a ton of videos planned for you all and I cannot wait to share them with my online community,I am still settling in at the moment but I thought i should update you guys quickly and share some Landscape Pictures from My trip to Abuja Recently;been a bit difficult taking pictures here as I have to be very careful!!!

LIP SWATCH & QUICK REVIEW | Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede

I have a lip swatch for the most raved about Drug store Lipstick this Winter and its the Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Matte Lipsticks

Although the Lipstick doesn't Indicate that it's matte but it is a matte lipstick,When Applying onto the lips it rubs off onto the Lips in a sheer texture,very soft and Smooth but after a couple of Minutes it dries out and Instantly becomes Matte- With just one application, Trust me ladies The Lipstick maintain the true Color on your lips ALL DAY....I swear by My Lips!!! It's also a 24 HOUR long lasting lipstick WITHOUT retouching,It's one of My holy Grail Product which is Perfect for me during my 9-5 working hours as i don't have to worry to reach into the bag to retouch my lipstick while am at the office!!!!

I Purchased the three Lipsticks at my Local Pharmacy it retails for €11.95 but I got it on sale for €7 plus there was a 3 for 2 on all Revlon products. 

It contains a Moisturizing Shea butter and its FOOD PROOF too!! Can this lipstick get ANY BETTER??? Its also comes in 20 shades. I definitely Like these Lipstick but to be honest as far as Moisturizing goes, it does nothing but I love the Texture and Longevity of it a lot,I am in love with how Intense all these three colors are and the Finish of each and everyone of them is Just Gorgeous; And with so many shades to Choose from,There is definitely a shade for Everyone But WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE?

MILK OF MAGNESIA- IS IT REALLY GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN AS A FACE PRIMER???

Magnesium hydroxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula of hydrated Mg(OH)2. As a suspension in water, it is often called milk of magnesia because of its milk-like appearance.It is Primarily Used to Alleviate Constipation and relives indigestion and Heartburn.
It was Banned here In Europe because it violated some health rules and contained too much Sulfate That's why its been so Hard to purchase any where but  in the last three months its been making a comeback on the Shelves at some Pharmacy and Retail stores such as Dunnes Stores.

This may be the first time you are reading this but MILK OF MAGNESIA is also a Face Primer ; I have Seen a lot of Makeup Artist use this Product as a Primer on Their Clients and the results after the Makeup Session is amazing and flawless -So I did a bit of my own research about Five months ago by watching Videos on You-tube and the results of the Makeup Application Looked Flawless So I decided to Purchase one myself to see what the hype was about and I was amazed by The results,It kept my face Matted up all day/Night long,I even wore it to a concert once and my makeup stay Matted up for over 12 hours.

I know you must be thinking but there may be a Side Effect to this; and my answer to this is YES...Personally for me I tend to break out when I use this product constantly and by that I mean Using this product everyday because it then changes the PH balance of my face making my Facial products Null and Void when I use them to Cleanse My face ; That been said I did use it everyday for about three week when I initially got it back then and I broke out real bad but then again I have a sensitive Skin ;So what does to necessarily Work for me May actually Work for you.But I still use this Product when I am going to a wedding,Party,Clubbing etc

• Used as a remedy to treat Acne and Scars

• Likely to Breakout if used Constantly
• Leaves White Streaks when applied on Immediately after using a Moisturizer so you have to wait about two minutes before you apply
• Changes PH balance of your face
• Makes your Skin tight and Dry

IS IT REALLY GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN AS A FACE PRIMER???

Yes it is good as a face Primer especially for those with really Oily Skin who has big pores in and around their T-Zone areas; and its even better than most high end Primers out there but I would not recommend daily use of the Product on your Face

So I have had a fabulous and unforgettable weekend of my entire life,It was my graduation on Saturday Detailed post on the Ceremony Here. Sleek Makeup (Quick Review+Swatches)

Hi Guys,

This is a Short review about my most recent purchase From sleek Makeup.I really love their brand especially their contour kit and as you can see I purchased one as the previous one i had was in the shade Dark which was obviously too dark for me that's why I purchased a Medium.

I will kick-start this review with the packaging,The product were packaged tightly and neatly which I like so nothing broke during shipping or delivery which is fantastic.The Packaging on the actual product is really colorful and attractive to the eye which I love,Its very appealing and the burst of Colors makes it so much fun to stare at(LOL).I ordered Three lipsticks but purchased one a day before in a drugstore,A contour kit,and the blush by 3 (Pumpkin)

Contour Kit,Lipsticks,Blusher

The Contour Kit in Dark,been using the Contour kit for months now and its the best contour i have ever used ,it makes the application of my highlighting and Contouring so much easier. 

Purchased the pumpkin Blusher due to the burst of colors,I have used and I am still using other sleek blusher and they are highly pigmented,Its a must have blusher in your make up kit,If you don't have this blusher ill suggest you purchase it and the best thing about this blusher is that it suitable for all skin tones it has a sheer,shimmer and sheen finish.

Swatch of the blush by 3 Pumpkin Blusher,I will definately be mixing the three colors up and applying it as my blusher or even just the one color just to play around with the colors and Play around with them

Loved up,Stiletto,Exxagerate and Mulberry.
Purchased this for my A/W lipsticks as it is going to compliment the weather.Although Rumor has it that Stiletto is a dupe for Mac Ruby woo as its also in a matte finish and Exxagerate is a few colors off Mac Riri Boy/Rebel and The Mulberry is an exact dupe for Revlon Black cherry.

I would definitely be using more of the Sheen finish as I am not a fan of Matte Lipsticks,I absolutely hate Matte lipstick but the ones from sleek are not as matte as the ones from Mac which is a good thing for me,I would be using the Matte lipstick but not as much as the sheen ones.I absolutely love sheen and Creme Lipsticks

I am absolutely delighted that I purchased this items as they will kick off my Autumn/Fall Makeup.Have you tried out their products??What are your opinion and thought about this beauty product I would Love to hear from you.
